Existential Therapy | California Telehealth | Rising Tide Family Therapy

In a world that often hands you a script and calls it a life plan, existential therapy makes room for the questions you were never supposed to ask.

What is this all for? Who am I outside the roles I’ve been playing? What do I actually want (not just what’s expected of me)?

If this resonates

Maybe you’re in transition, feeling adrift, or sensing that the life you’ve built doesn’t quite match who you’re becoming.

Therapy can help

Clarify what a more intentional, authentic life could look like — and what you’re ready to do about it
Take responsibility for the life you’re building, including the parts you’ve been outsourcing to other people’s opinions
Explore what it means to live authentically

What this looks like in practice

Slow down to examine the big questions — meaning, purpose, identity — without forcing premature answers
Explore where your choices feel free and where they feel prescribed by family, culture, or expectation
Confront losses, limits, and transitions with honesty rather than performance

The questions you’ve been carrying deserve more than a life built around outrunning them.
